TOHOKU: A Candidate Site for the International Linear Collider

The Next Generation of Physics May Arrive in Tohoku

The ILC is an international project that will try to uncover the mysteries of the universe with the most powerful electron accelerator in history. Once a site is chosen to build the facility, many talents will gather in the region to carry out state-of-the-art research, and an international city of academic research will be formed. One of those candidate sites is in the Tohoku region of Japan: a mountainous area to the northeast of Tokyo.
